Book ~3 Av-408 <br />LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />SPECIAL JOINT WORK SESSION <br />BETWEEN THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AND <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION <br />APRIL 19, 2010 <br />A special called work session between the Lee County Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, and the Lee County Board of Education convened at 4 p. m. in the <br />Gordon Wicker Community Conference Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, <br />Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners present were Amy M. Dalrymple, Richard B. Hayes, James <br />C. Kelly, Larry "Doc" Oldham, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and Linda A. Shook. Other staff in <br />attendance included County Manager John Crumpton, County Attorney K. R. Hoyle, and Clerk to the <br />Board Gaynell Lee. <br />Chairman Richard Hayes called the meeting to order for the Board of Commissioners. <br />Chairman Bill Tatum called the meeting to order for the Board of Education. <br />Discussion was held in reference to bids received for the renovation of Lee County High School. <br />In a letter forwarded to the County Manager, Superintendent Jeff Moss stated the Board of Education <br />had approved Option 2 (of 3 options considered) for the project. Mr. Tatum stated that at this time the <br />Board of Education was withdrawing that request and would be considering other options at a special <br />called April 27`" meeting of their Board. Other items pertaining to the project were also discussed. No <br />action was taken. <br />Commissioner Oldham moved to adjourn the meeting on behalf of the Commissioners. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Hayes, Kelly, Oldham, Paschal, Reives, and Shook <br />Nay: None <br />School Board member Frank Thompson moved to adjourn the meeting for the Lee County <br />Board of Education which was adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Hayes ruled the motions had been adopted and the meeting adjourned at 5:05 p.m. <br />EC, Ld ~iA~ <br />Richard B.
