co Commissioner Smith moved to approve additional funding for the FY 2015/16 Home and Community <br />Care Block Grant as presented, a copy of which is attached to these Minutes and by this reference <br />made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request to hire a full time Senior Center Caregowpir Specialist position. <br />Senior Services Director Debbie Davidson stated since November 2002, Judi.W. o has served as a <br />contract employee to Lee County as a Caregiver Advisor under grant furling th the National <br />:: <br />Family Caregiver Program. Ms. Womack will retire as of April 15, 2016. Ms. Davidsor' *ted with the <br />growing number of older adults in Lee County and those caring for loved ones, a full-tih* position is <br />needed within the department to serve the caregivers and asgw, t --wjth senior center p0ograms. If <br />approved, the position would be funded 70% with caregiver grapt funding and other grant funding that <br />might be available to the senior center. After discussion, Commissioner Frazier moved to approve the <br />hiring of a full-time Senior Center Caregiver Specialist positian preserved, and add the position to <br />the Lee County Pay Plan. Library <br />Director Susan Benning stated that in May 2013 -the Library Supervisor resigned. In the 2013/14 <br />budget, the position of Library Supervisor was eliminated and duties of that position were reassigned to <br />other positions within the department to save money,This change left only one library employee with a <br />Master in Library Science, icing the Director' The Library Systems Specialist has accepted <br />another position within the County and moved to that department on March 21St. Staff believes the <br />position needs to be upgrA to add an employee with a Master in Library Science to enhance the <br />capabilities of the library. i°l'te; cerrip's expectations of the library have grown, increasing the <br />workload at the library. To 'ixintinue to offer creative programming, computer classes, and offer <br />knowledgeable expertise, a sec6nd ,librarian with a Master Degree is much needed. This position will <br />supervise lib,� staff and manag , the Library in the Director's absence. Adding this employee will <br />ensure thFi3 has an additional employee with a Master in Library Science in the event the <br />:,. . <br />current- irector le employment or retires. After discussion, Commissioner Frazier moved to <br />appy the reclassi'tion of the Library System Specialist position to a Library 111 position as <br />present, and includesaid position in the Lee County Pay and Classification Plan. Upon a vote, the <br />results wes follows;` <br />Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a renewal contract for County printers, copiers, and scanner devices. IT <br />IGDirector Kyle Edwards asked the Board to consider a renewal contract with Systel Office Solutions for <br />O printer/copier/scanner devices currently in use in county offices. The County is approaching the 5 -year <br />mark for either the development of a new cost per copy contract with our existing vendor or sending this <br />n <br />
