SAGA Update — Industrial Park — It was noted a parcel of land at the Industrial Park had <br />recently been purchased and is a big investment to the Park. The Central Carolina Enterprise Park <br />continues to work on Park issues along with SAGA. City representatives stated product development <br />was a major concern for them at the Park. It was stated the City and County need to work together on <br />possibly installing sidewalks, curb and gutter, updated signage, lighting, and water and sewer at the <br />Park. Chair Dalrymple suggested a joint meeting with the City, County and SAGA to discuss the <br />Industrial Park as it relates to the updated master land use plan. <br />Buggy Factory Update — Furniture is being put together and will be in place by Wednesday. <br />Staff will start moving on Thursday and Friday (January 14' and 1511) with all departments open for <br />business on Tuesday, January 19tH <br />Sports Park Update — The plan was to start rolling out something in December but issues came <br />up when it was decided the Park would be maxed out when it opened. The consultant was asked to <br />review and increase the Park design for a later presentation. <br />Hale Center Update — Bids have been awarded and the project will be under construction soon. <br />Still trying to clean out some of the storage areas and find owners of some of the stored items. The <br />project will be complete within two months after construction begins. <br />Water Issues — Commissioner Sloan asked the City if they would look at areas that don't have <br />water to see if they could provide water in the near future. He stated some roads had asked to be <br />added to the current lines and paid for their hookup fees, only to be reimbursed and told the line would <br />not be extended to them. It was noted that some areas of the County desperately need water. <br />Law Enforcement Issues — Chair Dalrymple asked the City how Sanford officers are armed and <br />if the City was investigating video car recorders. It was stated the City is checking out all issues to <br />make sure everything is done effectively. They are also working with legislatures on clarification to <br />some video camera issues. <br />Street Scape Update — The project is 3/4 complete. First phase was the sidewalk project which <br />was approved by voters at $2 million. The City borrowed an additional $2 million to complete the <br />project. The second phase will consist of $2 million for Parks & Recreation and $4 million for the <br />Greenway project. All street lights are being switched out to LED lighting due to an agreement between <br />the City and Duke Energy. <br />San -Lee Park Update — Project should be bid in the next 1 — 2 weeks. <br />The next joint meeting is scheduled for 11:30 a.m., April 11th at the Buggy Factory with the county <br />hosting. <br />The meeting adjourned at 2:20 p.m. <br />Amy M.
