005 <br />County Manager John Crumpton updated the Board on the Colon Road -Osgood Community <br />water testing. Seventeen applications were received over the Christmas -New Year holidays. A total of <br />fifty-four applications have been received to date requesting testing. Ten home owners have been <br />notified of elevated levels in their water and advised not to use for drinking or cooking. No action was <br />taken. <br />It was noted that Community Development staff is trying to schedule a joint informational <br />meeting with the Board of Commissioners, Joint Environmental Affairs Board and S staff to discuss <br />the water testing. It was noted by Community Development Director Marshall D eyyhat no definite <br />date has been set at this time for the meeting. %/O/O/i� <br />At this time the Board took a five-minute recess. Upon returningm recjwith all Board <br />members present, the regular meeting resumed. <br />At 6 p.m. the Board conducted two public hearings for ecoG , development i <br />Economic Development Director Bob Joyce prese and ' cussed the first hearing for <br />"Project Core" (Core Mark). Mr. Joyce stated "Project o "bonsists of the purchase of <br />machinery and equipment in the amount of $1,500,000, and the tion of twenty-five new jobs at an <br />annual salary of $31,800. The five-year incentive proposed is es ed at $16,354.25.
