BK:00027 PG -1027 <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Knecht, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered Budget Amendment # 12/21/15/09 for the following departments: <br />Miscellaneous Expenses — appropriate funds to cover overages for workers <br />compensation, property and liability insurance and unemployment. <br />Administration — appropriate from fund balance costs associated with the Board of <br />Adjustment hearings on quarry applications. <br />Health — appropriate $7,000 in grant funds received from the National Association of <br />County & City Health Officials (NACCHO) for Lee County serving as a mentee in the <br />Voluntary National Retail Food Regulatory Program Standard Mentorship Program and <br />$3,000 in grant funds from the Association for Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) for <br />Foodborne Illness and Food Defense Preparedness and Response Conformance and <br />Audit. All funds are being appropriated in the Environmental Health department. <br />Commissioner Frazier moved to approve Budget Amendment #12/21/15/09 as presented above, a <br />copy of which is attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Finance Director Lisa Minter presented the Monthly Financial Report for month ending <br />November 2015. No action was taken. <br />County Manager John Crumpton presented his Monthly Report for December 2015, a copy of <br />which is attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. No action was taken. <br />County Manager John Crumpton updated the Board on current water testing in the Colon Road - <br />Osgood Community. Letters to residents within the extended %2 mile coal ash site approved by the <br />Board at the December 7th meeting will go out this week. To date a total of thirty-four (34) requests <br />have been submitted for testing. Chair Dalrymple stated she had been notified by Duke Energy they <br />would cover the cost of all water testing around the Colon Road area. Mr. Crumpton stated the cost for <br />water testing to date was around $3,000.00. The deadline response period for residents to request <br />testing has also been continued until January 31, 2016. No action was taken. <br />At 5:16 p.m. Chair Dalrymple recessed the meeting till 6 p.m. <br />Upon returning at 6 p.m., with all Board members present, Chair Dalrymple called the regular <br />meeting back to order. <br />At this time the Board conducted two public hearings that had been advertised for this date and <br />time. <br />
