BK -00027 PG:0947 <br />week of November 19-26, 2015 as Farm -City Week and invited elected officials to participate in the <br />many activities highlighting Lee County Agriculture. The annual Farm -City Banquet will be held <br />Monday, November 23, 2015, beginning at 6 p.m. at the McSwain Center on Tramway Road. After the <br />presentation, Commissioner Sloan moved to approve the Proclamation for Farm -City Week as <br />presented, a copy of which is attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the appointment of a Deputy Clerk to the Board of Commissioners. <br />County Manager John Crumpton asked the Board to consider the appointment of Ms. Danielle <br />Mahoney as Deputy Clerk as part of her experience as an ICMA Management Fellow/Intern. If <br />approved, Ms. Mahoney will be given the title for the duration of her employment with Lee County and <br />will serve in the absence of Clerk Gaynell Lee should the need arise. The appointment will give Ms. <br />Mahoney experience and also serve as a backup in addition to her experience for the Internship. After <br />discussion, Commissioner Sloan moved to approve the appointment of Ms. Danielle Mahoney as <br />Deputy Clerk to the Board of Commissioners and allow her to use the County seal and sign required <br />documents in the Clerk's absence. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chair Dalrymple read a Proclamation to Declare December 1, 2015 as Oscar Keller Day in Lee <br />County that had been added at the beginning of the meeting. Commissioner Reives moved to approve <br />said Proclamation, a copy of which is attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part <br />hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered Budget Amendment # 11/15/16/06 for the following departments: <br />Emergency Services — rollover $1,104 received in FY 2015 from NC Department <br />of Public Safety. Funds were received late in last year and could not be spent <br />by year end. Funds are to be used by Lee County's Local Emergency <br />Planning Committee for hazardous materials emergency response planning, <br />training, and related exercises. <br />Health — appropriate additional funding from the State for Communicable Disease <br />and Bioterrorism. <br />Commissioner Frazier moved to approve Budget Amendment # 11/15/16/06 as presented, a copy of <br />which is attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof.
