BK.00027 PG -.0928 <br />„r County Manager's Report — October 19, 2015 <br />Onaoina Proiects <br />San Lee Park — Our Architect has begun work on the design of the building. We have <br />met twice to discuss location and layout of the building. At the November 2nd meeting <br />will be sharing the preliminary plans with the Board. <br />Horton Park — Most of the work is complete at the Park. Roofing project is 99 percent <br />complete as is the painting and siding work. We are still working on the plan to fill in the <br />pool. <br />Bob E. Hales Center - Tim Sherman is working on the design plans for the renovations <br />to the storage bay. We should be 30 - 45 days away from bidding this project. <br />Other Items <br />Board of Education — The joint meeting with the Board of Education to discuss the <br />Wicker Campus proposal for an elementary school is scheduled for November 16, 2015 <br />at 3:00 pm in the Gordon Wicker Room. <br />Board Retreat/Workshop Planning — Last year we had a difficult time scheduling the <br />Board retreat. This year we would like to get an early start. Staff would like to suggest <br />Friday January 22nd or Friday January 29th as dates. We would like to set this date as <br />quickly as possible. <br />Joint Interlocal Committee Meeting - City of Sanford and Town of Broadway — The <br />Interlocal Committee Meeting occurred on September 28, 2015 in the Gordon Wicker <br />Room at the Lee County Government Center. Attached is the agenda from the meeting. <br />All members from the City of Sanford and Lee County attended as well as the Mayor and <br />Town Manager from Broadway. Several items have already been mentioned above. <br />Those that have not and need to be updated are: <br />Buggy Factory — The facility is still anticipated to be ready in December for move in by <br />the City, County, and SAGA. All agencies have made the necessary plans for the move. <br />Airport T -Hangers — the loan from the City and County to the Airport for new T -Hangars <br />was approved by the LGC two weeks ago. Closing should occur in the next week. <br />Fiber/Broadband Update — an update from County staff was given at the meeting. We <br />are moving toward locating fiber to the Airport and Industrial Park. An RFP is being <br />
