B. <br />_ Information <br />Meeting Date: October 19, 2015 XX Action Item <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: Appointments to the Triangle South Workforce Development <br />Board <br />DEPARTMENT: Governing Body <br />CONTACT PERSON: Gaynell Lee, Clerk to the Board <br />REQUEST: Appointments to the Triangle South Workforce Development <br />Board <br />SUMMARY: At the September 21St meeting of the Board, a motion was <br />made and approved to remove four of the five appointees on the Workforce Development Board <br />and for the Clerk to advertise for those four seats. Those removed will be eligible to re -apply for <br />consideration if they desire to continue serving. A Public Notice was in The Sanford Herald on <br />September 24th. Applications have been received from three individuals wishing to serve. <br />Applications were forwarded to CCCC for review. Rosalind Cross, Director of Workforce <br />Development has provided her recommendations for the three applications as follows: <br />Ron Hewett — Small Business <br />Meg Moss — Joint -Labor Management <br />Robert Kain — Business <br />Still need someone to fill one of the following categories: labor organization, community-based <br />organization or apprenticeship, or representatives of employees such as veterans, or an <br />organization that serves individuals with disabilities or youth. <br />BUDGET IMPACT: N/A <br />ATTACHMENT(S): 1) September 24th Public Notice <br />2) Applications (Meg Moss, Ron Hewett and Bob Kain), and <br />3) Recommendations from CCCC on above applications <br />PUBLIC HEARING: No <br />PRIOR BOARD ACTION: See Summary above <br />RECOMMENDATION: Pleasure of the Board <br />
