005 <br />Chevrolet Silverado 4X2 from Sir Walter Chevrolet (state contract), for Animal Control, for a total of <br />$41,798.32. The new vehicles will replace older vehicles with over 110,000 miles. After discussion, <br />Commissioner Oldham moved to approve the above referenced purchases for Animal Control. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The second new vehicle request was for five (5) new 2015 V-8 Dodge Chargers with Police <br />Package from Ilderton Dodge for a total of $119,880.00 (state contract) for School Resource Officers <br />(SRO). The new vehicles will replace older vehicles with over 110,000 miles. Commissioner Frazier <br />move to approve the purchase of the above referenced vehicles for the SROs as presented. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The third new vehicle request was for eight (8) new 2015 V-8 Dodge Chargers for a total price <br />of $191,808.00 from Ilderton Dodge (state contract), and one (1) V-6 Chevrolet Impala for a total of <br />$18,808.00 (Bobby Murray Chevrolet) for the Sheriff's Department Patrol Division. The new vehicles <br />will replace older vehicles with over 110,000 miles. Commissioner Frazier moved to approve the <br />purchases referenced above for the Sheriff's Department. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The fourth and final new vehicle request was for a new 2015 V-8 Dodge Charger with Police <br />Package from Ilderton Dodge (state contract) for the Lee County Jail, in the amount of $23,976.00. The <br />new vehicle will replace an older vehicle with over 110,000 miles. After discussion, Commissioner <br />Frazier moved to approve the above referenced purchase for the Jail. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered appointments to the Local Firemen's Relief Fund Board. Fire Advisory <br />Board Chairman Donald Andrews stated the Firefighter Relief Fund Board of Trustees Report is the <br />annual report that lists each local fire department's Board of Trustees who serve on the local Firefighter <br />Relief Fund Board. This is a mandatory report that must be submitted once a year in order for the local <br />fire departments to receive Firefighter Relief Funds from the Department of Insurance -Office of State <br />Fire Marshal. Each department is made up of three (3) local members and two (2) members appointed <br />by the Board of Commissioners.
