Oil <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, and Sloan <br />Nay: Smith <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted by a 6 to 1 vote. <br />Finance Director Lisa Minter presented Monthly Financial reports for July and August 2015. No <br />action was taken. <br />Danielle Mahoney, NCACC/ICMA Management Fellow presented a Lee County Sustainability <br />Policy for the Board's consideration. Ms. Mahoney stated that more and more local governments and <br />staff are making choices that move in a sustainable direction. By adopting a uniform set of overarching <br />sustainability principles, Lee County commits to developing, using, and protecting economic, social, <br />and environmental resources at a rate and in a manner that enables current residents to meet their <br />needs while also preserving resources for the County's future generations. After discussion, <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve the Lee County Sustainability Policy, a copy of which is <br />attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof, and authorize the County Manager <br />to appoint a Lee County Sustainability Team. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />County Manager John Crumpton presented his Monthly Report for September 2015, a copy of <br />which is attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. No action was taken. <br />Commissioner Frazier discussed homes and wells in the Cumnock community that had been <br />damaged by blasting due to construction of the new 421 by-pass. After discussion, Commissioner <br />Frazier moved for the County Manager to send a letter to DOT asking for compensation for <br />homeowners in the Cumnock community for home/well repairs. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sloan, and Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />With no further business to come before the Board, Commissioner Frazier moved to adjourn the <br />meeting.
