a BOOK 7 PAGE 544 Commissioner William H. Cooper moved that the following resolution be adopted: WHEREAS, bond orders entitled "Bond Order authorizing the issuance of $500,000 Sanitary Sewer Bonds of the County of Lee" and "Bond Order authorizing the issuance of $1, 000, 000 Water Bonds of the County of Lee`.; have been introduced at the meeting of the Board of Commissioners held on March 1, 1971,. and the Board of Commissioners desires to provide for the holding of a public hearing thereon as required by the County Finance Act; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee, as follows: (1) The public hearing upon said bond orders shall be held on the 5th day of April, 1971, at 10 o'clock a. m., at the regular meeting room of the Board of Commissioners at the County Office Building in Sanford, North Carolina. (2) The Clerk of the Board of Commissioners is hereby directed to cause a copy of such bond orders to be published with a notice of such hearing in the form prescribed by law, in the Sanford Daily Herald, a newspaper published in the City of Sanford, in the County of Lee, North Carolina, at least ten days prior to such public hearing. (3) The County of Lee is hereby requested to file with the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners, at least ten days prior to such public hearing, a state- ment of the debt, incurred or to be incurred by the County for other than school purposes, in the form prescribed by the County Finance Act. The motion having been seconded by Commissioner Perry White, it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner William H. Cooper. moved that the following resolution be adopted: WHEREAS, the County of Lee intends to apply to the Local Government Commission for approval of the issuance of the $1, 500, 000 authorized by the bond orders introduced at a meeting of the Board of Commissioners held on March Ist, 1971; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: (1) The action of the Chairman and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners in filing with the Local Government Commission of North Carolina an application for its approval of said bonds,, on a form prescribed by said Commission and stating in such application such facts and attaching thereto such exhibits regarding such bonds and to the County and its financial condition, as may be required by said Commission is hereby ratified and confirmed. (2) The action of the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners in causing notice of intention to file such application, containing the information required by law to appear in such notice, to be published in the Sanford Daily Herald, a news- paper published in Sanford, in the County of Lee, North Carolina, on February 8, 1971 and February 15, 1971, is hereby ratified and confirmed. Commissioner Perry White seconded the motion, and the motion was adopted. Those voting for the resolution were Messrs. Cooper, Rogers, White, G. Wicker and F. Wicker. No one voted against it. 4.
