0 AM <br />Ba 7 F%M <br />White moved that a letter of appreciation be written to Mr. Coggins thanking <br />him for his service to the County. <br />Commissioner Rogers seconded the motion and upon a vote it <br />was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Timothy 5troupe, appeared before the Board and inquired <br />about the use of the city dump. He was directed to see the officials of the City <br />of Sanford concerning his problem. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and duly adopted, it was resolved <br />to adjourn the meeting until Friday, June 11, 1971, at 11 o'clock am. , in the <br />Commissioners' room of the County Office Building, at the corner of Steele <br />and Wicker Streets in the City of Sanford, North Carolina. Wicker, Chairman <br />A <br />Kenneth R. <br />1 11 <br />MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />Friday, June 11th, 1971 <br />The adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners <br />for the County of Lee convened in the Commissioners' room of the County Office <br />Building at 11:00 dclock a. m. , on Friday, June 11, 1971, the same being the <br />time, date and place duly specified for the holding of said meeting. Those <br />present were: Commissioners William H. Cooper, J. Eugene Rogers, Perry <br />White, Gordon A. Wicker and Franklin D. Wicker. Chairman Franklin D. <br />Wicker declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of <br />business. <br />Chairman Franklin D. Wicker presided and the following business <br />was transacted: <br />Commissioner Cooper moved that the low bid of King Roofing & <br />Manufacturing Company for air-conditioning the District Court Room be accepted <br />and that they accept the alternative bid to increase the unit from three and one- <br />half tons to four tons by payment of an additional $100. 00, making the bid <br />$3, 452. 00, which was still lower than the other bid received. Commissioner <br />Perry White seconded the motion and upon a vote it was adopted by a majority <br />roll call vote as follows: <br />AYE: Cooper, Rogers, White, F. Wicker <br />NAY: G. Wicker <br />
