H. Cooper moved the adoption of the <br />following Resolution: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Lee County, <br />as follows: <br />1. That in order to operate the County and its subdivisions, agencies <br />and departments from July 1, 1971, to the date of the adoption of the 1971-1972 <br />budget, appropriations are hereby made for the purpose of paying salaries, the <br />principal and interest on indebtedness and the usual ordinary expenses of the <br />County and its subdivi sions and agencies at the same rate of expenditures as <br />provided in the budget for the fiscal year 1970-1971. <br />2. This Resolution shall cease to be effective from and after the <br />adoption;of the 1971-1972 budget resolution and all expenditures made in accordance <br />with this resolution shall be charged to the appropriations made in the 1971-1972 <br />budget resolution. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote <br />it was unanimously adopted as follows: <br />Aye Nay <br />Commissioners, Cooper, White, F. Wicker, <br />Gordon Wicker and Rogers None <br />Commissioner Perry White moved the adoption of the following <br />Resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has considered the <br />petitions of the Lee County Board of Education and the Sanford City <br />Board of Education for additional funds; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has heard the <br />representatives of both School Boards explain the nature of the program <br />presented and the financial needs of each of the administrative units; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners if of the opinion that <br />each administrative unit has shown a necessity to add or supplement items <br />of expenditure in the current expense fund; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners is of the opinion, in view <br />of the number of administrative units, the programs offered by each, and <br />the tax base available to each, that peculiar local conditions demand the <br />adding or supplementing of items of expenditures in the current expense fund; <br />3. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners <br />
