A., in Raleigh, North,Carolina, in any coin or currency of the United States•of America which at the time of payment is legal tender for the payment of public and private debts. (5) At the option of the purchaser of the bonds the County may issue in lieu..,of, coupon bonds a single bond without cou- pons equal in denomination to the aggregate principal amount of coupon bonds, payable in installments corresponding to the maturi- ties of such coupon bonds and bearing interest at the same rate or rates as such coupon bonds. Said single installment bond shall be registered as to both principal and interest and shall be payable as provided in the form of bond set forth in Section 8 hereof. Within ninety days after the receipt by the County of the written request of the,registered owner of any such fully registered bond, the County will at its own expense prepare and execute bearer coupon bonds„ of the denomination of $1,000, or multiples thereof, in the form hereinafter set forth, of type, composition and printed on i paper of customary weight and strength, in an aggregate principal amount equal to the unpaid principal amount of such registered bond, and having maturities corresponding to the principal installments of such registered bond then unpaid, with coupons annexed thereto maturing after the date to which interest on such fully registered bonds shall have been fully paid; and the County will cause such coupon bonds to be presented to the Local Government Commission for endorsement thereon of the approval of said Commission and for de- livery to the registered owner of such fully registered bond upon, the surrender and cancellation of such fully registered bond. -3- i .
