•ct rj <br />at <br />0 <br />mat 4 <br />- The County Accountant was directed to collect parking space <br />rental from Mr. SJames Seymour or else terminate.his.right to use the space <br />as a means of access to his building. <br />Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds was directed to clean up <br />around the Codnty!rs parking building next to the Methodist Church, <br />There was an extended discussion about-land fill equipment and <br />Commissioner White and Rogers were directed to prepare specifications for <br />a piece of used equipment with not more than 2, 000 hours of operation and to <br />be the equivalent of a catapillar model 977 or Allis Chalmers model IZG, or <br />an International model 250. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Rogers, seconded by Commissioner <br />Cooper, it was RESOLVED to appropriate $500. 00 from the unappropriated <br />surplus in the General Fund to the Courthouse Fund for the purchase of <br />furniture for the'Solicitors and Magistrates offices. Messrs., Cooper, Rogers, <br />White, Gordon Wicker and Frank Wicker all voted for the motion and no one <br />voted against it. <br />Mr. Billy Ray Cameron, Civil Defense Co=ordinator, . appeared <br />before the Board and was authorized to establish an Emergency Planning Board <br />and to have an evaluation' team to come and inspect Lee County and its facilities. <br />Mr. Bill Ray, Chairman of Lee County Election Board, appeared <br />before the Board and was authorized to take steps to make available personnel <br />for registration of people from 7 to 9 at night, Monday through Friday, and on <br />Saturday mornings until the close of the registration period. <br />The Chairman read a letter from Mr. John Morrisey, North Carolina <br />Association of County Commissioners, thanking the Board for hosting the District <br />meeting, <br />The Board then left the meeting room and went to the Lee County <br />Courthouse where they inspected facilities in the Register of Deeds office. <br />There being no further business to come before said meeting, it <br />adjourned sine die. <br />t -y / <br />CHAIRMAN <br />NORTH CAROLINA, LEE COUNTY <br />Presented for registration on the 3/ day <br />M. <br />. of i p 19 Vat 2,.'V <br />recorded in Book -Page _ <br />J.
