0 <br />formerly used by the Sheriff's Department, and authorized them to sell said car <br />in such manner, at such price and terms as they feel will realize the highest <br />return for the County. <br />Commissioner William H. Cooper moved that the monthly bills as <br />listed by the County Accountant be paid. Commissioner. J.. Eugene Rogers <br />seconded the motion. Upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />The bill for $35. 00 for maps of the' County utility lines also was <br />approved for payment by the unanimous vote of the Board. <br />The Chairman reminded the Board they were invited to. attend a <br />meeting of the local chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous on May 7, 1972. <br />The Chairman reminded the Board the County School Unit NCAE was <br />meeting on May lst, 1972 at 6:30 o'clock p. m., and the City. School Unit <br />NCAE would meet on May 24, 1972. <br />There was a discussion about equipment for the landfill operation <br />and the Board authorized the publication of an advertisement for bids when <br />specifications were available for distribution to suppliers. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that $1, 000. 00• be appropriated <br />from the unappropriated surplus in the General Fund to the Welfare Fund for the <br />purpose of outfitting the new quarters leased from Mr; Phil Thomas, Commissioner <br />J. Eugene Rogers seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote, it was unanimously <br />adopted. Commissioners Cooper, Rogers, G. Wicker, and F. Wicker all voted <br />for it and no one voted against it. <br />Commissioner J. Eugene Rogers moved the bird of Crawford Door Sales <br />Company of 155. 91 be accepted and that the sum of $1, 800. 00 be appropriated <br />from the unappropriated surplus in the General Fund to the Armory Fund to pay <br />for the purchase and installation of the overhead doors. Commissioner Gordon <br />A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote, it was unanimously <br />adopted. Messrs. Cooper, Rogers, G. Wicker• and F. Wicker voted for it and <br />no one voted against it. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, seconded by'Comm- <br />issioner J. Eugene Rogers, it was unanimously resolved to adjourn the meeting until <br />Monday, May 15, 1972, at 9:30 o'clock a.. m_, at the Commissioners' Room in <br />the County office building. <br />ATTEST <br />FRANKLIN D.
