G3i <br />§ 18-36 LEE COUNTY CODE <br />to certain users or times as public interest demands, Sec. 18-38. Merchandising, advertising and <br />or safety and security indicates, at the discretion of signs. <br />the director. <br />(Ord. of 9-4-84, § 5.01) <br />Sec. 18-37. Nuisances. <br />(a) Intoxicating beverages and other drugs. The <br />possession and/or consumption of alcoholic bever- <br />ages or other intoxicating beverages, and the inhal- <br />ing or ingestion of illicit drugs into the body in any <br />manner, is not permitted in any park. <br />(b) Firearms and weapons. Possession or dis- <br />charge of any instrument that fires a potentially <br />dangerous projectile, gas or liquid is prohibited ex- <br />cept in designated areas. <br />(c) Fireworks and explosives. Possessing, explod- <br />ing, discharging or burning within, or bringing into <br />park area any fireworks or other potentially danger- <br />ous inflammable material is prohibited. In any bona <br />fide emergency, the discharge of distress signals is <br />permitted. <br />(d) Domestic animals. Animals shall be excluded <br />from any place where food or drinks are served, <br />except within automobile parking areas and walks <br />immediately adjacent thereto. The running of ani- <br />mals at large is prohibited. Animals shall be kept at <br />all times on leashes not greater than six feet in <br />length. No domestic animals shall be allowed in or on <br />bathing areas or in any body of water within a park <br />area. <br />(e) Public nuisance and disorderly conduct. Who- <br />ever commits such acts as are of a nature to corrupt <br />the public morals or outrage the sense of public <br />decency or affect the peace and quiet of persons <br />who may witness them, or engage in brawling or <br />fighting or engages in such conduct as to constitute a <br />hazard to the health, safety or welfare of other park <br />visitors shall, upon due notice of violation, be classed <br />as a trespasser, and ordered to leave the park. <br />(a) Vending and peddling. No person shall ex- <br />pose or offer for sale any article or thing nor shall he <br />station or place any stand, cart, or vehicle for the <br />transportation, sale or display of any such article or <br />merchandise within the limits of any parks. Excep- <br />tion is here made as to any regularly licensed con- <br />cessionaire acting by and under the authority and <br />regulation of the department and providing foods, <br />goods or services for the benefit of the public. <br />(b) Advertising and publicity. All advertising or <br />publicity posted or announced in or on park property <br />must be approved by the park manager or director of <br />parks and recreation. <br />(Ord. of 9-4-84, 7.01, 7.02) <br />Cross reference-Businesses, ch. 8. <br />Sec. 18-39. Lost and found articles. <br />The finding of lost articles shall be reported to the <br />park manager or administrative offices of the parks <br />and recreation department. While the director can <br />assume no responsibility for search, every reason- <br />able effort to find valuable lost property will be made <br />or to locate the owners of found items. <br />(Ord. of 9-4-84, § 8.01) <br />Secs. 18-40-18-60. Reserved. <br />DIVISION 2. SAN-LEE EDUCATIONAL AND <br />RECREATIONAL PARK <br />Sec. 18-61. Enforcement of division provisions. <br />This division may be enforced by any appropriate <br />remedy authorized by G.S. 153A-123. <br />(Ord. of 8-24-78, § III) <br />Sec. 18-62. Penalty for violation of division. <br />(f) Impersonation of department personnel.
