Quiet hours shall be observed <br />between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 <br />a.m. <br />(12) Visitors. Visitors of registered campers will <br />observe regular park users' hours. However, <br />visitors desiring to remain after park closing <br />may register with the park manager, but any <br />motorized vehicle belonging to a visitor must <br />be parked outside the park's entrance. In no <br />event shall visitors remain in the park after <br />11:00 P.M. <br />(13) Children. Children under 16 years of age <br />shall be the responsibility of the registrant <br />and shall be supervised at all times by the <br />registrant or accompanying camper over 16 <br />years of age. <br />(14) Trash orgarbage. It shall not be permitted for <br />users of the wilderness camping areas to <br />leave behind trash or garbage which they <br />have personally packed in. As no trash con- <br />tainers are provided for these areas, camp- <br />ers must pack it out. <br />(15) Use of privies. It shall not be permitted for <br />users of the wilderness campgrounds to <br />deposit other than human excrement in the <br />privies provided in these areas. <br />(16) Foodstuff. It shall not be permitted for camp- <br />ers within the park to leave foodstuffs of any <br />kind within easy access to wildlife. Ail sup- <br />plies should be locked up or hung out of <br />reach of wildlife. <br />(e) Horseback riding. Horseback riding is forbid- <br />den in the parks except in such parks and park areas <br />where provision is made for this with bridle paths and <br />other necessary facilities. Horses shall not go unat- <br />tended. <br />(f) Athletic facilities. Athletic facilities shall be reg- <br />ulated as follows: <br />(1) Athletic fields for games and practice may be <br />scheduled in advance by obtaining a permit <br />(2) All field lights must be turned off whenever <br />one of the following occurs: <br />a. Rain; <br />b. Within 15 minutes after the conclusion <br />of activity; or <br />c. At 11:00 p.m. unless the activity is con- <br />tinuing under subsection (f)(3) of this <br />section. <br />(3) The last period or inning of any game or <br />activity must commence prior to 10:50 p.m. <br />(g) Photography No person shall take still or mo- <br />tion pictures for commercial purposes, involving the <br />use of special settings or structures, or the perfor- <br />mance of a cast of persons, either amateur or pro- <br />fessional, without first obtaining written permission <br />from the director. Otherwise there shall be no restric- <br />tion on photographic activities. <br />(h) Payments, reservations and permits. All pay- <br />ments, reservations, permits, etc. must be made or <br />secured at least five working days in advance of the <br />date of use. All organized demonstrations, gather- <br />ings, performances, speeches, youth campouts, etc. <br />shall require an advance permit for the use of desig- <br />nated areas and specific times. <br />(i) Section contents not to exempt users from <br />compliance with article. Nothing contained in this <br />section shall operate to exempt the users of re- <br />served space from full compliance with all rules of <br />the department relating to use of, and conduct on, <br />commission property. <br />0) Specific use permits. Notwithstanding any of <br />the provisions of this section, the department may, <br />upon written application, grant specific use permits <br />for special uses when, in the opinion of the director, <br />special consideration is warranted. <br />(Ord. of 94-84, 4.01-4.10) <br />Sec. 18-36. Hours of operation. <br />Parks will be open as posted, including hours of <br />daily operation.
