BK -00027 PG -0441 <br />Health — Animal Control — acceptance of $500 contribution from the local shag dance <br />club to purchase patio furniture for the adoption area at the animal shelter. <br />Commissioner Frazier moved to approve Budget Amendment # 06/01/15/17, a copy of which is <br />attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, and Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Smith <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a "Voting Delegate" for the upcoming 80th Annual NACo Conference <br />scheduled in Mecklenburg County on July 10-13. Every county participating in the conference must <br />appoint a voting delegate and an alternate delegate. Commissioner Sloan moved to appoint <br />Commissioner Dalrymple as the Lee County voting delegate and Commissioner Frazier as alternate <br />voting delegate for the upcoming NACo Conference. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, and Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Smith <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Knecht discussed a UDO Ordinance that was tabled approximately 2 years ago <br />concerning RV's (recreational vehicles) used as housing while construction of new homes was going <br />on. Commissioner Knecht stated he had been contacted by a gentleman that owned 5-7 acres of land <br />that he planned on building a house on and living on site in his RV while the house is under <br />construction. He asked if the matter tabled 2 years ago could be re -studied and considered again. <br />Community Development Director Marshall Downey stated the matter could be re -studied but would <br />have to go before the Joint City -County Planning Commissioner before coming to the Board of <br />Commissioners for approval. After further discussion, Commissioner Knecht moved for the Planning <br />Department to un -table the matter, re -study, and bring back before the Joint Planning Commission and <br />Commissioners for consideration. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, and Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Smith <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chair Dalrymple stated a Budget Work Session would be held on Friday, June 5, 2015, <br />beginning at 2 p.m. in the Commissioners' Board Room. <br />Commissioner Sloan moved to go into Closed Session to consider a personnel matter per North <br />Carolina General Statute § 143-318.11(a) (6). Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, and Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Smith <br />2 <br />
