BK -00027 PG -0436 <br />LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />106 HILLCREST DRIVE <br />SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />JUNE 1, 2015 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North <br />Carolina, convened at 4 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, First Floor, Lee County Government <br />Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present when the <br />meeting was called to order were Amy M. Dalrymple, Dr. Ricky D. Frazier, Larry "Doc" Oldham, Robert <br />T. Reives, and Timothy S. Sloan. Commissioner Dr. Andre Knecht joined the meeting at 4:07 p.m. and <br />Commissioner Kirk D. Smith arrived at 5:20 p.m. <br />Chair Dalrymple called the meeting to order and the following business was transacted: <br />Commissioner Frazier delivered the invocation. <br />The pledge of allegiance was recited. <br />The Board considered additions/changes to the Agenda. Chair Dalrymple stated an <br />amendment to the Buggy Factory Lease would be added to Old Business, and a Closed Session to <br />consider a personnel matter would be added. She also stated the report on Fire Department budgets <br />would be moved to the end of New Business. With no other changes made, Commissioner Oldham <br />moved to approve the Agenda as amended. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />items: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Oldham, Reives, and Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Knecht and Smith <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Frazier moved to approve the Consent Agenda which consisted of the following <br />• Minutes from the May 18, 2015 regular meeting, <br />• Removal of a member from the Lee County Fire Advisory Board <br />for non-attendance of meetings, <br />• Acceptance of Library LSTA EZ Literacy & Lifelong Learning <br />Grant in the amount of $25,936.06, and <br />• Fireworks Permit for the 4th of July celebration for Mr. <br />Joel Ammons (copy attached). <br />
