0114 <br />• Add handicap parking space with accessible path to outdoor court and <br />playground <br />• Fence outdoor court <br />• Add frost -free water hydrant near restroom shelter area <br />• Add outdoor electrical to the shelter area <br />• Follow up with forestry consultant to get pines select cut, and <br />• Determine disposition of the pool and bathhouse. <br />He stated he would like to see funding allocated for some of the projects on the punch list, which have <br />been talked about for the past year but nothing has been done to date. A lot of work needs to be done; <br />pool is out of operation and leaks in the concession stand. He further stated the Park was an eye sore <br />to the community. <br />Commissioner Knecht arrived during this discussion at 4:09 p.m. <br />Parks and Recreation Director John Payne discussed the 2013 study - outlining options of three <br />major concerns — ADA walkway, restroom renovation, and ADA parking. It was noted that upgrades <br />could not be completed for this summer due to time restraints. No action was taken but the Board <br />agreed to look at funding for Horton Park during the upcoming budget process. <br />The Board considered the renewal of Property and Liability Insurance for the upcoming year. <br />County Manager John Crumpton stated the County had received the renewal quote for Property and <br />Liability Insurance from the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners (NCACC) for FY <br />2015-16. The NCACC provides comprehensive coverage to counties that is uniquely designed to cover <br />our needs and operations. Mr. Crumpton stated the renewal cost is $352,368.00. After discussion, <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve the renewal quote from the NCACC for FY 2015-16 Property <br />and Liability Insurance as presented, a copy of which is attached to these Minutes and by this reference <br />made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, and Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Smith <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the renewal of Workers' Compensation Insurance for the upcoming year. <br />County Manager John Crumpton stated the County had received the renewal quote for Workers' <br />Compensation from the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners (NCACC) for FY 2015- <br />16. The NCACC provides comprehensive coverage to counties that is uniquely designed to cover our <br />needs and operations. Mr. Crumpton stated the renewal cost is $391,597. After discussion, <br />Commissioner Oldham moved to approve the renewal quote from the NCACC for FY 2015-16 <br />Workers' Compensation Insurance as presented, a copy of which is attached to these Minutes and by <br />this reference made a part hereof.
