003 <br />Renewal of County Group Life Insurance with Reliance Standard Life <br />Insurance Company, <br />Renewal of Inmate Labor Contract between Lee County General <br />Services and NC Department of Correction (copy attached), and <br />Renewal of Inmate Labor Contract between Lee County Health <br />Department and NC Department of Correction (copy attached). <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Oldham, Reives, and Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Knecht and Smith <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Pursuant to N.C. General Statute §153A-52.1, Chair Dalrymple opened the floor for Public <br />Comments. No one signed up to speak during this time. <br />The Board considered the sale of surplus property located at 1213 Crest Street. County <br />Attorney Kerry Schmid stated the City of Sanford the County of Lee jointly own the above referenced <br />property. An offer to purchase said property was received in the amount of $9,177.86, plus advertising <br />costs. At the Boards' regular meeting on April 20, 2015, the above offer was accepted and the upset <br />bid process began. The offer was advertised in The Sanford Herald on April 24, 2015, with no bids <br />received during the 10 -day upset bid period. Ms. Schmid asked the Board to accept the offer from Ms. <br />Linda Ware in the amount of $9,177.86, and authorize staff to execute necessary documents to convey <br />said property. After discussion, Commissioner Reives moved to approve a Resolution Authorizing the <br />Sale of Property Located at 1213 Crest Street in Sanford, North Carolina, a copy of which is attached to <br />these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Oldham, Reives, and Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Knecht and Smith <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board discussed renovations to Horton Park that had been added to the Agenda at the <br />beginning of the meeting. Commissioner Frazier stated the Parks & Recreation Commission, at their <br />last meeting, discussed the following 2013 punch list of concerns in reference to Horton Park: <br />• Remove damaged bulletin board <br />• Replace park rules sign <br />• Repair crack in concrete floor in men's restroom <br />• Remove old overgrown landscape shrubs from restroom building <br />• Pressure wash restroom building and shelters, prime and paint or stain as <br />appropriate <br />• Replace damaged siding or add wide molding and caulk to prevent continued <br />moisture damage <br />• Replace door to concession/storage area <br />• Paint court lines on outdoor court <br />2 <br />
