Gaynell Lee
To: Gaynell Lee
Subject: FW: Notification, 2015-2016 LSTA Grant Award
North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources
State Library of North Carolina
Library Development Section
Pat McCrory, Governor
Susan W. Kluttz, Secretary
Cal Shepard, State Librarian
May 19, 2015
Susan Benning
Lee County Library
107 Hawkins Ave.
Sanford, NC 27330
Congratulations! The State Library is pleased to inform you that your application for a 2015-2016 LSTA EZ Literacy &
Lifelong Learning Grant has been approved for funding in the amount of $23343.
• Reviewers suggest the library consider adding one-on-one computer instruction in addition to the classes,
if possible.
In June, a letter with additional documents will be emailed to the Project Manager that will need to be signed and returned all
together. Once we have received all the signed documents, and obtained the State Librarian's signature, we will mail a fully
executed original agreement and information about requesting reimbursement of grant expenditures. Keep in mind that:
• The Project Manager is the primary contact between the applicant library and the State Library for the life of the
project. It is expected that when questions arise about expenditures, reimbursements, reporting, and anything else
related to the grant, the Project Manager will be the State Library's primary point of contact. It is the library's
responsibility to notify the State Library of changes in the Project Manager's information.
• The library's authorized representatives AND the State Librarian must sign the Grant Agreement in order for it to be fully
executed; thereby completing the awarding of funds. You cannot encumber or spend grant or local matching funds until
your library representative(s) AND the State Librarian have signed the grant agreement.
• You are required to acknowledge IMLS and the State Library/ Department of Cultural Resources (see statement below) in
all publications and activities related to the grant.
Acknowledgment Statement
