BK:00027 PG:0347 <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, and Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Smith <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board next considered Budget Amendment # 04/20/15/13 for the Solid Waste Department <br />to appropriate $13,000 from fund balance to cover excess tire disposal fees associated with a major tire <br />cleanup. Commissioner Frazier moved to approve Budget Amendment # 04120115113, a copy of which <br />is attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were <br />as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, and Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Smith <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Finance Director Lisa Minter presented the Monthly Financial Report for month ending March <br />2015. No action was taken. <br />County Manager John Crumpton presented his Monthly Report for April 2015. The Board <br />discussed summer meeting schedules for the August and September 2015 meetings. Consensus of <br />the Board was to meet on August 17th at 4 p.m., and September 21St at 4 p.m. The regular meeting <br />schedule of two meetings a month will resume in October. <br />Chair Dalrymple encouraged all Lee County residents to participate in a survey concerning the <br />multi -sport complex at O.T. Sloan Park that is located on the City and County websites. She also stated <br />the new stoplight at the intersection of Nash Street (Lee County High School) and Kelly Drive (Civic <br />Center and CCCC) is now working. <br />Commissioner Frazier moved to go into closed session to consult with the attorney to protect <br />the attorney - client privilege per N.C. General Statute §143- 318.11(a) (3). Upon returning from closed session, with all members present, including Commissioner Kirk <br />D. Smith, the regular meeting resumed. <br />At 6 p.m. Commissioners met jointly with members of the Lee County Planning Board to <br />consider text amendments to the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). Zoning Administrator Althea <br />Thompson outlined the first text amendments as follows: <br />Amendments to Article 10 site Design Standards, to revise Section 10.7 <br />title to read 10.7 Design Standards for Commercial Development along <br />Thoroughfares and Freeways ", and revise the standards throughout <br />the section to apply to commercial development and land uses along <br />5 <br />
