Use Permit has been granted by the Board ofAdjustment per § 3.5 of this Ordinance. Adult Day <br />Care <br />Facilities located in a non-residential district shall be subject to all design standards of the <br />Unified Development Ordinance. <br />5.38.3 STANDARDS <br />5.38.3.1 Adult Day Care facilities shall comply with all local, state and federal regulations <br />that pertain to adult health, safety and welfare. <br />5.38.3.2 If a center is proposed in an existing residential structure, all building modifications <br />made to the structure to accommodate the use shall preserve the residential character of the <br />neighborhood. <br />5.38.3.3 If development of a new center is proposed in a residential district, the structure shall <br />be similar in appearance to the character of the neighborhood in terms of architectural style, <br />predominant building materials and building mass. <br />5.38.3.4 Structures shall conform to Table 4.7-1 for Density and Dimensional Standards. <br />5.38.3.5 Required off-street parking shall be provided on site and shall meet the standards as <br />set forth in Article 8 of this Ordinance to determine the number of required spaces. The vehicle <br />surface areas shall be similar to neighboring properties in terms of material used to construct <br />the parking spaces and may consist of asphalt, concrete pavers, compacted crush stone or crush <br />and run. <br />5.38.3.6 A site plan shall be provided pursuant to Section 3.5 that shows the facility, driveway, <br />parking and vehicular circulation design for the site. <br />Section 6. That APPENDIX A., A-3 DEFINITIONS be amended to add new terms as follows: <br />• Adult Day Care Center: A day care program operated in a structure other than a <br />single-family dwelling. <br />• Adult Day Care Home: A day care program for up to three (3) adults eighteen years old <br />or older operated in a single-family dwelling. <br />• Adult Day Care Program: The provision of group care and supervision in a place <br />other than their usual place of abode on a less than 24-hour basis to adults who may be <br />physically or mentally disabled. This term is used to refer to adult day care programs, <br />adult day health programs, and adult day care and combined adult day health programs <br />(i.e. combination programs). <br />
