BOOK 23 f?'u 295 <br />LEE COUNTY <br />IC3 O00CT` C3Q0 • CSO CJ <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT <br />FOR <br />CITY OF SANFORD FIT COMMUNITY GRANT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sanford has prepared a grant application to the Health & Wellness Trust Fund <br />for designation as a Fit Community; and <br />WHEREAS, the program is intended to encourage citizens to adopt more active lifestyles with the goal <br />of improving overall health in the community; and <br />WHEREAS, the grant will be in the amount of $60,000 and administered over a two-year period; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sanford will use the grant to provide construction of safer access and <br />connectivity from Lee County High School to O. T. Sloan Park. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lee County Board of Commissioners supports the <br />City of Sanford's request to apply for a Health & Wellness Trust Fund grant designation as a Fit <br />Community. <br />Adopted this 1g1h day of January 2010. <br />Richard B.
