Sloan Park <br />DEPARTMENT Lee County Parks & Recreation <br />CONTACT PERSON John W. Payne, Director <br />REQUEST Accept funding donations received through the Friends of <br />the Parks Foundation of Lee County, Inc. for the construction of an off -leash area for dogs. <br />SUMMARY This project is the result of a public survey conducted by <br />staff that identified an off -leash area for dogs as a needed addition to the parks system. This item <br />was addressed and approved by the Board of Commissioners at the July 15, 2013 meeting but <br />with no general fund appropriations. Through fundraising activities and generous donors, the <br />estimated needs for construction of the area has been realized. Sloan Park <br />
