LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONER; <br />RESOLUTION <br />HONORING COMMISSIONER JAMES K. WOMACK <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners wishes to acknowledge and express its appreciation to James <br />K. Womack for his service as a member of the Lee County Board of Commissioners; and <br />WHEREAS, James K. Womack was elected to the Lee County Board of Commissioners in November 2010 and sworn <br />into office on December 6, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, Commissioner Womack served on the Economic Development Corporation Board (Sanford -Lee County <br />Partnership for Prosperity), Environmental Review & Advisory Committee, and an alternate member of the Fort <br />Bragg Regional Alliance; and <br />WHEREAS; Commissioner Womack participated in the Young Commissioners Leadership Program classes in 2013 <br />and 2014 by taking part in opening day activities and in the closing Awards Dinner for the youth; and <br />WHEREAS, Commissioner Womack served as Chairman of the North Carolina Mining and Energy Commission and <br />put forth an effort to compile the most effective drilling rules in order to protect health, property, and the <br />environment; and <br />WHEREAS, Commissioner Womack has committed an enormous amount of personal time and expense in working <br />for the citizens of Lee County, and his work as Choir Director and member of the Family Promise Network for his <br />church; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Lee County Board of Commissioners to recognize the achievements of James K. <br />Womack and to express its appreciation for his dedicated service and contributions to Lee County <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Lee County that it congratulates James <br />K. Womack for his career of public service, and it wishes him continued success in all his future endeavors. <br />Presented this the 17th day of November 2014. <br />Charles T.
