LEE COUNTY Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONER; RESOLUTION HONORING COMMISSIONER JAMES K. WOMACK WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners wishes to acknowledge and express its appreciation to James K. Womack for his service as a member of the Lee County Board of Commissioners; and WHEREAS, James K. Womack was elected to the Lee County Board of Commissioners in November 2010 and sworn into office on December 6, 2010; and WHEREAS, Commissioner Womack served on the Economic Development Corporation Board (Sanford -Lee County Partnership for Prosperity), Environmental Review & Advisory Committee, and an alternate member of the Fort Bragg Regional Alliance; and WHEREAS; Commissioner Womack participated in the Young Commissioners Leadership Program classes in 2013 and 2014 by taking part in opening day activities and in the closing Awards Dinner for the youth; and WHEREAS, Commissioner Womack served as Chairman of the North Carolina Mining and Energy Commission and put forth an effort to compile the most effective drilling rules in order to protect health, property, and the environment; and WHEREAS, Commissioner Womack has committed an enormous amount of personal time and expense in working for the citizens of Lee County, and his work as Choir Director and member of the Family Promise Network for his church; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Lee County Board of Commissioners to recognize the achievements of James K. Womack and to express its appreciation for his dedicated service and contributions to Lee County NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Lee County that it congratulates James K.
