BOOK O Ent 184 0 bonds should be submitted to the voters of Lee County for their approval or disapproval in order to comply with the Constitution and laws of North Carolina; NOW, THEREFORE' BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Lee County, as follows: (1) The question whether the qualified voters of Lee County, shall approve or disapprove (1) the indebtedness to be incurred by the issuance of the bonds of the County author- ized by said bond order, and (2) the levy of a tax for the payment thereof, and (3) said bond order, shall be submitted to the qualified voters of said County at an election to be held in said County on March 31, 1973. (2) The Clerk of the Board of Commissioners is hereby authorized and directed to publish a notice of said election which shall be in substantially the following form: LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election will be held in Lee County, North Carolina, on March 31, 1973, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of said County the question whether they shall approve or disapprove, (1) the indebtedness to be incurred by the issuance of bonds of said County of the max- imum principal amount of $600, 000, and (2) the levy of a tax for the payment of such bonds, and (3) the bond order entitled "Bond Order authorizing the issuance of $600, 000 Technical Institute Bonds of Lee County" adopted by the Board of Commissioners on January 15, 1973, to authorize the issuance of said bonds and the levy of such tax. The $600, 000 Technical Institute Bonds are authorized to finance the erection and equipment of buildings in Lee County for use by Central Carolina Technical Institute, in- cluding the acquisition of the necessary land or rights-in-land. The ballots to be used at said election shall contain the words "FOR the bond order authorizing $600, 000 of bonds to finance the erection and equipment of buildings in Lee County for use by Central Carolina Technical Institute, including the acquisition of the necessary land or rights-in-land, and a tax therefor", and the words "AGAINST the bond order authoring $600, 000 of bonds to finance the erection and equipment of buildings in Lee County for use by Central Carolina Technical Institute, including the acquisition of the necessaryland or rights-in-land, and a tax therefor", with squares opposite the affirmative and negative forms in one of which squares the voter may record his choice. In the event a majority of the qualified voters voting at said election vote to approve the incurring of such indebtedness and levy of such tax, said bonds shall be issued and a tax shall be levied for the payment of such bonds. The polls for the election will open at the hour of 6:30 o'clock a. M., and will close at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p. in. , The election will be held at the same polling places at which the last election was held in Lee County for the election of members of the General Assembly. 3
