® BOOK O PAcc 25 1 <br />(E) The School Board reported that it was willing to <br />let the County have premises known as the Lee County Board of <br />Education Administrative Building in exchange for the use of <br />the fourth (4th) floor of the County Office Building and also <br />use of the houses. used for office space on Evergreen Lane. <br />Commissioner Rogers moved that the offer of the School Board <br />be accepted. Commissioner Cooper seconded the motion and upon <br />a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Bonet'; of the engineering firm of Boney & Newcombe, <br />reported to the Board that permits had been obtained to install <br />the utility lines near Redman Industries. Commissioner Cooper <br />moved that the Board advertise to accept bids on the afternoon <br />of August 16, 1973. Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. Mr. <br />Boney reported that he would accept the bids and present them <br />to the Board for its consideration at the meeting on August 16 <br />together with his recommendations. <br />Mr. Boney also reported that the Department of Trans- <br />portation and Highway Safety had approved the work of Blue <br />Contracting Company in installing the water and sewer lines <br />along Lakeside Drive and Industrial Drive, and that the retainage <br />could now be paid as the contract had been satisfactorily <br />completed. Upon motion of Commissioner William H. Cooper, <br />seconded by Commissioner Hal L. Hancock, it was unanimously <br />resolved to authorize the payment of the retainage to Blue <br />Contracting Company on its contract. <br />Chairman Gordon A. Wicker reported on curb and guttering <br />around the County's property and stated it would cost between <br />$3',000..and $4,000.. Upon motion of Commissioner William H. Cooper, <br />seconded by Commissioner Hal L. Hancock, it was unanimously <br />resolved to authorize that curb and guttering be done around <br />the County's.property, such expense to be paid from Revenue <br />Sharing Funds and that the paving and improvement of the parking <br />-3- <br />
