0 <br />Mr. Tom Haislip, County Agricultural Extension Chairman, <br />appeared before the Board and reviewed that his activities in <br />trying to secure a County Home Economist to replace Miss Mary <br />Estelle Doyle who retired. Mr. Haislip recommended the employment <br />of Mrs. Faye Thorpe Lewellyn who is presently employed in <br />Currituck County in a similar capacity. After discussion, <br />Commissioner Cooper moved that the employment of'Mrs. Faye Thorpe <br />Lewellyn as the County Home Economist effective as of October 1, <br />1973, be authorized. Commissioner Hal L. Hancock seconded the <br />motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />There being no further business to come before the <br />session, it was adjourned to reconvene on Monday, September-, <br />1973, at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the Commissioner's Room of the <br />County Office Building, Sanford, North.Carolina. <br />GORDON' A. .WICKER- <br />.Chairman <br />Clerk <br />-8- <br />
