Mr. Beck agreed to <br />go with_Mr. George Core to examine the Core Road near Juniper <br />Springs Church. <br />The Board next took under'consideration the establishment <br />of a Planning Board. After discussion and review, Commissioner <br />Franklin'D. Wicker moved the adoption'of an ordinance to establish <br />The Lee County Planning Board. TheVordinance;; "in full,'ade,tail,..is <br />set out in an Exhibit A attached to the minutes of this meeting <br />and by such reference made a part hereof. .Commissioner Hancock <br />seconded the motion and upon:a vote; it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Board then took under consideration the appointments <br />of the members of The Lee County Planning Board. Commissioner <br />Franklin D. Wicker moved the appointment of the following named <br />persons for the terms indicated opposite their names, to wit: <br />Member <br />Term <br />Expires <br />L. Hancock seconded the motion and upon <br />a roll call vote, it was unanimously adopted as follows: 'Messrs. <br />Cooper, Hancock, Rogers, Franklin Wicker, and Gordon Wicker all <br />voted for it and no one voted against it. The Chairman directed <br />that the appointees be notified of their appointment-and directed <br />to meet on Tuesday, September 18,'1973, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. for <br />their first and organizational meeting. <br />Representatives of the Mental Health Department appeared <br />before the Board. and requested that the 5-cents per bottle,revenue <br />be made available to the Mental Health Department for its program <br />in accordance with the statute which created the revenue. <br />Commissioner Hal L. Hancock moved that the County Finance Officer <br />be authorized and directed to pay the proceeds derived from such <br />
