sooK R vn~r~~? <br />Commissioner Hancock introduced the following resolution, <br />which was read: <br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of <br />Commissioners, of the County of Lee: <br />1. That the contract between the County of Lee <br />and the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and <br />Standards Council be and the same is hereby approved. <br />2. That the Board of Commissioners and the <br />Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to sign and <br />execute the said contract for and on behalf of the County <br />of Lee and forward the same to the North Carolina <br />Criminal Justice Training and Standards Council. <br />3. That upon final execution, a copy of said <br />contract be filed with the minutes. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Hancock , seconded by <br />Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker, said Resolution was passed unanimously. <br />Commissioner Hancock presented a letter from the the <br />Health Planning Council from Central North Carolina, which reminded the <br />Board that it was eligible to appoint four (4) representatives to the Council. <br />Mr. Hancock occupies one of the vacancies , as a Commissioner, one should <br />be a provider of Health Services and the remaining two members should be <br />Consumers. The terms are to be staggered with two appointments to expire <br />June 30, 1974, one to expire June 30, 1975, and one to expire June 30, 1976. <br />Thereafter, appointees will serve for three years. <br />The report was requested to ask the City Manager to furnish a <br />report of tap-ons to the County lines. <br />be <br />The Chairman reminded the Board there would^a program <br />at the Institute of Government on October 30, about the changes in fiscal control <br />act and to the local government laws. <br />Mr. E. M.
