Commissioner William H. Cooper moved the adoption <br />of the following resolution with respect to the streets <br />(Harvard, Dean; Brenda, and'Dewayne Streets) in the Lemon <br />Springs Road Subdivision: <br />WHEREAS, the attached petition has been.filed <br />with the:Board of.County Commissioners.of the <br />County of Lee requesting that the above described <br />road, the-:location of which has been'indicated in <br />red on the attached map, be added to the Secondary <br />.Road system; and <br />WHEREAS,, the Board of County Commissioners is <br />of-the.opinion that the above described road should <br />be 'added to.the Secondary Road System', if the road <br />'meets.minimum standards and'criteria established <br />by: the Division of Highways of the Department of <br />Transportation and Highway Safety for the addition <br />of roads to the System. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it <br />of County Commissioners of <br />the Division.of Highways is <br />review. the above described <br />road for maintenance fit <br />standards 'and"criteria. <br />resolved by the: Board, <br />the County.of.Lee that <br />hereby requested to <br />road,.and to take over the <br />meets. established <br />Commissioner Rogers seconded the motion-and upon a vote., <br />it was unanimously' adopted. <br />Mrs. Virginia.Sargent of the Region J Council of <br />Governments appeared before the 'Board and discussed the <br />program of nutrition service to be made available to elderly <br />people in Lee County. At the present time, it appears that . <br />an office will be 'maintained in the' Matthews. Court Housing <br />area and that the'meals'will be prepared by the'Pineridge <br />Nursing Home. <br />The minutes of the 'regulars meeting, held on ; v <br />December 17, 1973, we're approved and ordered recorded upon <br />motion of Commissioner Cooper, seconded by'Commissioner.• <br />Hancock 'which motion was unanimously,adopted. <br />The' monthly bills as tabulated by the`Finance <br />Officer were presented to the Board and reviewed. Upon <br />motion of Commissioner Cooper, seconded by Commissioner <br />Rogers, the bills. were approved for payment. <br />-2- <br />
