WHEREAS, the 1973-1974 Lee County. budget adopted by the County Commissioners on July 2, 1973, included an appropriation of $400, 000 to the Schools Capital Outlay Reserve Fund to be funded by estimated revenue from the 1% local sales tax and WHEREAS, it is now ascertained that it would be financially better for Lee County to' fund said appropriation - with Federal Revenue Sharing revenue. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the 1:973-1974 Lee County Budget be amended by showing 'that the $400, 000. appropriation to the Schools Capital Outlay Reserve Fund is funded by.Federal Revenue Sharing fund, and that-the esti- mated revenue from the 1% local sales tax is unappropriated funds in the general fund. Commissioner Roger's seconded the motion and upon a roll call vote, Messrs. Cooper, Hancock, Rogers, F. Wicker and G. Wicker all voted for it and no one voted against it. . The Board again considered the matters of the repairs to the Armory building, and Commissioner Rogers was authorized to see that the roof and walls of the building were repaired in the most economical manner. Chai rman 'Gordon Wicker, Commissioner William H. Cooper and County Finance Officer, Mrs. Beatrice Fields, were appointed as a committee to see that a suitable ad was prepared on behalf of the County Government to' be published in the Centennial Issue of the Sanford Daily Herald. . Chairman Gordon Wicker requested that a list of appointees and their terms of 'office be furnished to the members of the Board. Commissioner William H. Cooper reported on the activities of the Ambulance Department. There being no further business to come before the Session, it was adjourned.
