BOOK 8 mE372 <br />Mr. Billy Ray Cameron appeared before the Board <br />and gave a report on his attendance at the meeting pertaining <br />to the OSHA application to Municipal Authorities. The Board <br />instructed Mr. Cameron to proceed to set up the necessary <br />organizational structure to see that the County could comply <br />with the requirements of the Act. <br />The Board next considered the requirements that <br />public school buildings be inspected every.four (4) months <br />with respect to fire hazards. After having the General <br />Statute 115-150.2 read, Commissioner Franklin, D. Wicker moved <br />that the Board of Commissioners designate the Lee County <br />Electrical Inspector..to be the person to make the inspection <br />required by G. S. 115-150.2. Commissioner William H. Cooper <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously <br />adopted. -The Clerk was directed to notify the Chairman and <br />Superintendent of the School Board of such action. <br />The Board next reviewed the monthly bills as <br />listed by the County Finance Officer. Commissioner William <br />H. Cooper moved that the monthly bills as presented to the <br />Board be approved for payment. Commissioner J. Eugene Rogers <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />The County Finance officer presented a Budget <br />Resolution which had been prepared in accordance with the <br />estimates approved by the Board of Commissioners. The <br />Clerk read the entire Ordinance. After discussion, Commissioner <br />William H. Cooper moved that the Budget Ordinance, as read, <br />be adopted and approved as and for the Budget for Lee County <br />for the,fiscal year beginning July 1, 1974, and ending on <br />June 30, 1975, and that a copy of the Budget be appended to <br />these minutes and incorporated herein as if set out word for <br />word. Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker seconded the motion and <br />upon a roll call vote, Messrs. Cooper, Hancock, Rogers, <br />F. Wicker, and G. Wicker all voted for it and no one. voted <br />against it. <br />Mr. Lind Thomas and Mr. Tom Mullis, Juvenile <br />Probation Officers, together with their Supervisor, Mr. <br />Hubbard, appeared before the Board and requested that they <br />be provided suitable and adequate space to carry on their <br />activities. The Board stated that suitable quarters would <br />be provided at the Courthouse Annex under the supervision of <br />Commissioner Rogers. <br />There being no <br />session, the meeting was <br />further business to come. before the <br />adjourned. <br />`j <br />RDON A.
