"r... s• ' <br />y ~ <br />The regular meeting ofRthe Board of-Commissioners <br />for the County of•Lee, -,:h ' CarolYna,'convened in•the <br />Commissioners' room on the second floor of the County Office <br />Building at the corner of'`Steele'''and Wicker'Streets in the <br />City of Sanford "at. 700 P- M: 'on !Mond'ay,' October 21, 1974. <br />Commissioners William H.: Cooper, Hal L'. Hancock, J•. Eugene <br />Rogers, Franklin D.-,Wicker and Gordon A. Wicker were present. <br />Noneof the Commissioners were absent. <br />Chairman.Gordon A. Wicker presided and the.following <br />business was transacted: <br />Minutes of the meeting held on_October 7th, 1974, were <br />considered and approved upon motion of.Commissioner.Cooper, which <br />motion was seconded and unanimously, adopted.,. <br />Commissioner Cooper moved that the following resolution <br />be adopted with respect to the Winstead Road in Jonesboro Township:, <br />WHEREAS, the.attached petition has been filed <br />with the Board of County Commissioners of the County <br />of Lee requesting that the above described road, the. <br />location of which has been indicated in red,, <br />on the attached map,` be added to•tlie Secondary Road <br />System; and <br />WHEREAS;'the Board of County-Commissioners is <br />of the opinion that the above described road should _ <br />be added to the Secondary Road System,, if the road <br />meet's minimum standards and criteria established by <br />the Division of Highways of the Department of Trans <br />portation and Highway Safety'. for the addition of roads <br />to the System: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of <br />County Commissioners of the County of Lee that.the <br />Division of Highways is hereby requested to review <br />the above described road, and';to take over the road <br />for maintenance if it meets established standards and <br />criteria.. <br />Commissioner Hancock seconded'the.motion and upon a <br />vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />The bills for the connection,of'the School Maintenance <br />Garage to the water and sewer lines were presented and considered <br />by the' Board. The statement for the water line was $960.00, and the <br />statement for the connection was,$13'0'.00. Jeter C.
