003 <br />9 LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />106 HILLCREST DRIVE <br />SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />OCTOBER 19, 2009 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North <br />Carolina, convened at 6 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 <br />ZZ& <br />Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commiss <br />ioners present were Amy M. Dalrymple, <br />Richard B. Hayes, James C. Kelly, Larry "Doc" Oldham, Nathan & Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and <br />Linda A. Shook. <br />Chairman Hayes presided and called the meeting to order. The following business was <br />transacted: N <br />• County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation <br />The pledge of allegiance was recited. <br />The Board considered additions`1ranges to the agenda. County Manager John Crumpton <br />asked the Board to consider- the`sfollowing`items under New Business: (1) Appointments to the Fire <br />Denartm- Relief Fund Boarand (-2) letter .,f S a 10 <br />- -a..nt • ~ W uppCi c puiG~,iwase <br />c a rescue pumper fUr iile Carolina <br />Trace Fire Department. Commissioner Dalrymple moved to approve the agenda as amended. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Hayes, Kelly, Oldham, Paschal, Reives, and Shook <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Oldham moved to approve the Consent Agenda which consisted of the following <br />items: <br />• Minutes from the October 5, 2009, regular meeting, <br />• Minutes from the October 12, 2009, joint meeting with the Lee County Board of <br />Education, <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for September 2009 (copy attached) <br />• Budget Amendment # 10/19/09/03 (copy attached); <br />• Changes to the Lee County Purchasing and Contracting Policy to add informal bids to <br />• the county website <br />
