Council on Aging had requested a , <br />letter 'of intent relating to the funding which would be provided for the coming <br />fiscal year. The proposed letter was presented and discussed. Upon motion <br />of Commissioner Dotterer, seconded by'Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker, ' <br />and unanimously adopted, it was resolved to authorize the Chairman to sign the ' <br />letter on behalf of the Board. <br />Commissioner William H. Cooper moved that the-sum of <br />$1, 100. 00 be appropriated from funds from Revenue Sharing to the Maintenance <br />Building Fund for the purpose of paying for the heating, system. Commissioner <br />Hal L. Hancock seconded the-motion and upon a roll call vote, 'Messrs. Cooper, <br />Dotterer, Hancock, F. Wicker, and G. Wicker all voted for it and no one voted <br />against it. <br />Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker moved that $1, 932. 00 be <br />appropriated from the Unappropriated surplus in the General Fund to'•the.Budget for <br />the Finance Officer to provide $500. 00 for printing and'$l, 432. 00-'for salaries <br />and wages to employ a clerk through June. <br />Mr. Darrell Mullins, of the firm of Pate:Mullins & Associates, <br />P. A•, appeared before the Board to open ;bids for a heating and air-conditioning <br />system at the Senior Citizens Service Center. Cooper moved that the low bid of <br />Coggin Heating and Air-Conditioning be accepted and the contract'be awarded to it. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion, and upon-a vote, the motion <br />was unanimously, adopted. <br />Mr. Darrell Mullins also reported to the Board that roofing tile <br />was available to repair the roof-at th'e Senior Citizens" Service Center. <br />Chairman Gordon A. Wicker,brought up for discussion the <br />following matters: <br />(a) Massage parlors. It was decided -to ask the County Attorney <br />to draft an ordinance for the.Board's consideration. <br />(b) Faith Healers-. It was decided to refer complaints in this <br />area to the members-of,the General Assembly since they have already passed <br />legislation relating to this matter. <br />(c) , Noise Ordinance. It was decided to have the County Attorney <br />to put the draft ordinance previously circulated to the Board in final form for <br />consideration at the next meeting. _ <br />Commissioner'John E Dotiterer stated the Board should proceed <br />to select and employ a• building inspector in order to implement the ordinance <br />beginning July, 1, 1975'.: <br />. 2- <br />
