BOOK 8 PAA8 i <br />The Chairman reported that the Allis-Chalmers Company <br />had donated four transformers to the County. Commissioner Hancock moved <br />that the action of the Allis-Chalmers Company in donating four transformers <br />to Lee County, be noted and its appreciation be extended to the Company for <br />their generosity in this regard. Commissioner Dotterer seconded the motion <br />and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />There was a discussion about the proper agency for the Council <br />on Aging to work with, but no formal action was taken at this time. <br />The Chairman reported that Senator Robert Morgan had <br />written him to the effect that it appeared that it may be possible for Lee County <br />to come under the Coastal P1ain,Region Commission. <br />Mr. Finley Boney appeared before the Board relative to the 2,01 <br />Facilities Study prepared by his firm. After discussion about the report and the <br />alternative programs recommended by it, Commissioner Dotterer moved that <br />the Board approve the 201 Study prepared by Boney & Associates and Alternative <br />"A" , the Study's recommended course of action. Commissioner Franklin D. <br />Wi cker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was adopted by a majority vote. <br />The Board resolved not to consider the Ordinances pertaining <br />to Mass age Parlors, Noise an&Mass Gatherings, at this meeting. <br />The Board considered the statements pertaining to the addition <br />to the Maintenance Building which will be paid from funds derived. from Revenue <br />Sharing. After review and discussion, the bills totaling, $893.50, as listed by <br />the County Finance Officer, were approved for *payment from those funds, upon <br />motion of Commissioner Dotterer, seconded by Commissioner Cooper. Messrs. <br />Cooper, Dotterer, Hancock, F. Wicker and G. Wicker all voted for it and no one <br />voted against it. ' , <br />Upon motion of Commissioner William H. Cooper,. it was <br />resolved to appropriate $15, 000. 00 from the. Unappropriated Surplus to the <br />Senior Citizens Activity. Center Fund account.Commissioner Hal L. Hancock <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote, Messrs. Cooper, Dotterer, Hancock, F. <br />Wicker and G. Wicker, all voted for it and no one voted against it. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker, it was <br />resolved to appoint Dr. James M. McKinnon, as Rabies Inspector and authorize <br />him to conduct a Rabies Vaccination Program, in accordance with the provisions <br />of the General Statutes. Fees for such-service shall remain the same'as hereto- <br />fore ordered by the Board. Commissioner Dotterer seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />, Upon motion of Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker, seconded by <br />Commissioner Dotterer, which was unanimously resolved, to set the time for the <br />meeting of the Board of Equalization and Review, at 11 o'clock a, m., on the first <br />Monday in May. <br />Pettie W.
