1
BOOK -13 1,',6E
Bob Heuts and their Chairman could be at the Commissioners' next meeting and give a report on how
many businesses are looking at Lee County at his time. The consensus of the Board was that reports
should be given quarterly (or monthly) by the EDC. Discussion followed but no action was taken.
County Manager John Crumpton presented a power-point presentation on the State of Lee
County report and responded to questions from the Board.
Commissioner Reives stated if the '/4 cent sales tax passes on the November referendum he
wanted to go on record that he thinks it should have been split 1/3 for the Lee County Schools, 1/3 for
Central Carolina Community College (CCCC), and 1/3 to the County's General Fund.
With no further business to come before the Board, Commissioner Dalrymple moved to adjourn
the meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows:
Aye: Dalrymple, Hayes, Kelly, Oldham, Paschal, Reives, and Shook
Nay: None
The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting adjourned at
4:20 p.m.
Richard B. Hayes, C
Lee County Board of Commissioners
3
