BOOK 23 riGt 215 <br />0 LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />JOINT MEETING <br />BETWEEN THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, SANFORD CITY COUNCIL, <br />TOWN OF BROADWAY COMMISSIONERS AND LEE COUNTY ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT BOARD <br />McSWAIN EDUCATION CENTER <br />2420 TRAMWAY ROAD <br />SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />NOVEMBER 19, 2009 <br />A special joint work session between the Board of Commissioners, Sanford City <br />Council, Broadway Town Board of Commissioners, and the Lee County Economic <br />Development Corporation (EDC), convened at 6 p.m. in the Auditorium of the McSwain <br />Education Center, 2420 Tramway Road, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. <br />• Commissioners present were Amy M. Dalrymple, Richard B. Hayes, James C. Kelly, Larry <br />"Doc" Oldham, Nathan E. Paschal, and Linda A. Shook. Commissioner Robert T. Reives <br />joined the meeting at 6:15 p.m. <br />Chairman Richard Hayes called the meeting to order on behalf of the Lee County Board <br />of Commissioners. Mayor Cornelia Olive called the meeting to order, once a quorum was <br />reached, for the Sanford City Council, Mayor Donald Andrews called the Broadway Town <br />Commissioners to order, and Donny Hunter, Chairman of the Lee County Economic <br />Development Corporation Board of Directors called the EDC Board to order. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />The pledge of allegiance was recited. <br />Mr. Donny Hunter, Chairman of the EDC Board and Mr. Bob Heuts, Director of the Lee <br />County Economic Development Department presented power-point presentations of what the <br />EDC Board does for Lee County, discussed issues of interest, and the function of the <br />Economic Development office. <br />Following the presentations, Sanford Mayor Cornelia Olive, Broadway Mayor Donald <br />Andrews and Chairman Richard Hayes made brief statements in reference to the meeting. <br />At 8 p.m., Commissioner Amy Dalrymple moved to adjourn the work session for the Lee <br />0 County Board of Commissioners.
