Crumpton, County Manager <br />REQUEST Conduct a public hearing upon the orders entitled "ORDER AUTHORIZING <br />$9,000,000 COMMUNITY COLLEGE BONDS" (health science building), <br />"ORDER AUTHORIZING $5,000,000 COMMUNITY COLLEGE BONDS" <br />(veterinary medical technology building), "ORDER AUTHORIZING $4,000,000 <br />COMMUNITY COLLEGE BONDS" (ESTC renovations and other main <br />campus repairs and renovations), AND "ORDER AUTHORIZING $5,000,000 <br />COMMUNITY COLLEGE BONDS" (civic center expansion and renovations <br />and business incubator). Adopt the four bond orders and approve Resolution <br />Calling for the Bond Referendum. <br />SUMMARY As part of the bond referendum process, the Board is required to hold a public <br />hearing to hear questions on the validity of bond orders that were approved on <br />June 16, 2014 or the advisability of issuing said bonds. <br />After the public hearing, the Board of Commissioners will need to vote on <br />each bond order again. <br />The Board also needs to adopt the Resolution Calling a Bond Referendum. <br />BUDGET IMPACT N/A <br />ATTACHMENT(S) 1) Public hearing proceedings and Resolution <br />2) Notice of public hearing from June 20th Sanford Herald <br />PUBLIC HEARING Yes <br />PRIOR BOARD ACTION On 6/16/14, the Board of Commissioners set the public hearing for 7/21/14 <br />RECOMMENDATION Conduct public hearing as advertised for this date and time, approve four <br />bond orders, and Resolution Calling for Bond Referendum <br />
