BK 00026 PG <br />required under this contract, with the exception that the County agrees to pay all court <br />costs and filing fees, which are required to be paid in conjunction with the services <br />performed by the Attorney under this contract. <br />A rate of $45 per hour (not to exceed $360 per day) will be paid for Administrative <br />Attorney Services (defined as the activities engaged in by an attorney, which are outside <br />the realm of legal services as defined in the preceding paragraph). Specifically, this <br />category would include attendance at professional meetings, seminars, administrative <br />support, and the like. <br />5. The Attorney shall submit to the Agency reports of expenditures by the <br />seventh working day of the month following the month during which the services and/or <br />expenditures were incurred. <br />6. Brenda B. Potts is designated the Contract Administrator for the County <br />with responsibility for all matters concerning this contract, including, but not limited to, <br />invoice approval. <br />7. The Attorney shall notify the Agency when a conflict of interest arises for <br />the Attorney. In all such cases, referral shall be made to another attorney with whom the <br />Agency has contracted for the provision of legal services when conflicts arise. <br />8. Either party may terminate this contract with thirty (30) days written notice <br />to the other party. <br />9. The Agency has the option to renew or extend this contract for an <br />additional one -year period not to exceed two renewals or extensions. <br />10. It is understood and agreed between the Agency and the Attorney that the <br />payment of compensation specified in this agreement, its continuation or any renewal or <br />extension thereof is dependent upon and subject to the allocation and appropriation of <br />funds to the Agency for the purpose set forth in this agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties have executed this contract in quadruplicate <br />originals, one to be retained by the County, one to be retained by the Attorney, one to be <br />retained by the Agency, and one to be filed with the Department of Human Resources for <br />North Carolina, Division of Social Services. <br />
