JOHNSON
CONSULTING
Direct Spending by attendees, exhibitors, associations, and general visitors, across categories of
events and visitor groups: sports, leisure, convention and meetings, group tours, as well as festivals
and events in local venues.
Economic Impact Analysis — To estimate indirect spending, employment and earnings generated
by the direct spending outlined above, Johnson Consulting will utilize the multipliers from various
local or internationally accepted economic impact models. This will yield information on indirect and
induced spending, employment and wages at various governmental levels.
Fiscal Impact Analysis — The fiscal impact analysis will estimate tax dollars returned to State,
County, and City annually as a result of events and activities. Taxes will include admissions tax,
personal income tax, accommodations fees, sales tax, hospitality tax, and other major taxes levied by
the various levels of government.
Estimates of economic and fiscal impacts will be made for 12 months of operation. Once the analysis is
complete, we will conduct tests to ensure outputs make common sense, in terms of total taxes collected by
jurisdiction, correlation with prior information and in general to other economic impact studies.
REPORTS AND MEETINGS
We are noted for the clarity, simple sophistication, and quality of our reports. The following are deliverable
products that we will provide to Client representatives:
Kick -Off Meeting. Will be an initial meeting with the Client Group to confirm the objectives of the
Project, tour the site area, and collect and analyze data for the project.
- Mid -Point Workshop: At the conclusion of Tasks 5 and G (facility program recommendations and
site analysis), Johnson Consulting will conduct an intensive I -day workshop with the Client Group to
discuss key recommendations for the potential facilities and a summary of the site analysis findings.
Based upon feedback from the Client Group, we will advance to the subsequent tasks of the analysis.
Draft Report: Will be provided to Client representatives at the completion of Task 9: Development
& Funding Strategy. The Draft Report will include fully documented findings and recommendations,
and will be accompanied by appropriate graphics and presentation material. Following the issuance
of the Draft Report, Johnson Consulting will meet with Client representatives to discuss our program
recommendations and agree upon a preferred model for our demand and financial projections.
- Final Report: Fully documented Final Report addressing all client comments and refinements.
6 East Monroe Street I Fifth Floor I Chicago, Illinois 60603 I Phone: 312.447.2010 I Farc 312.444.1125
AnM hic.com I clohnsongpehic corn
