Uii4 <br />Executive Director Bo Hedrick from the Boys & Girls Club presented the proposed FY 2014 -15 <br />Budget of $46,970.77 from his non - profit organization. His organization is open every day that school <br />is in session during the school year and also during the summer months. Transportation is provided <br />during the school year via school buses from the schools to one of their two locations. Mr. Hedrick <br />asked the Board if they would consider his organization using the Bob Hales Center on McIver Street <br />during the summer for forty high school students and two counselors. This will help free up needed <br />space from the Bragg Street location. The Boys & Girls Club will pay $3,600 in rent to use the facility <br />which will be paid from DPI (Department of Public Instruction) funds. No action was taken. <br />Applications for funding were submitted by Johnston -Le rnett Community Action and <br />Communities in Schools, neither which attended the budget work n. <br />County Manager John Crumpton stated that Brick Capital CDC terested in purchasing the <br />W. B. Wicker Gym to help with over - crowding of the Church Street B Girls Club facility. If <br />something should be worked out, the County would rent the gym from Capital for needed <br />basketball activities through Parks & Recreation. No n was taken. <br />rd, Commissioner Dalrymple moved to adjourn <br />ith, and Womack <br />adopted unanimously and the meeting adjourned at <br />Charles T. Parks, Chairman <br />Lee County Board of Commissioners <br />With no further business to come before <br />the budget work session. Upon a vote, the results <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Parks, <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Knecht <br />The Chairman ruled the <br />12:30 p.m. <br />
