BK:00026 PG:0527 <br />LEE C 1. 0 1 U TY <br />, <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />106 HILLCREST DRIVE <br />SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />MAY 22, 2014 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North <br />Carolina, convened at 6 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, 1St Floor, Lee County Government Center, <br />106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were Amy M. <br />Dalrymple, Dr. Ricky D. Frazier, Dr. Andre Knecht, Charles T. Parks, Robert T. Reives, Kirk D. Smith, <br />and James K. Womack. <br />Chairman Parks called the meeting to order and the following business was transacted: <br />Mr. Bryon Buckels delivered the invocation. <br />The pledge of allegiance was recited. <br />The Board considered additions /changes to the Agenda. County Manager John Crumpton <br />asked the Board to add Letters of Support for the Bark for Your Park Campaign, and a presentation <br />from the Fire Advisory Board in reference to the voluntary fire department tax rates. With no other <br />changes made, Commissioner Smith moved to approve the Agenda as amended. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Frazier, Knecht, Parks, Reives, Smith, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />items: <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Frazier moved to approve the Consent Agenda which consisted of the following <br />• Minutes from the May 5, 2014 regular meeting, <br />• Minutes from the May 8, 2014 Town Hall meeting at the McSwain Center, <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for April 2014 (copy attached), <br />• Mutual Aid Agreement between Wake County and Emergency Services (copy <br />attached), and <br />• Fireworks Permit for training at CCCC Emergency Services Training Center (copy <br />attached). <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />
