III Attorney for Social <br />Service Department ' <br />Mr. Jimmy Love Tax Attorney <br />The Board then considered the days to be-observed as holidays . <br />for Christmas and New Years..' Commissioner Franklin- D..-Wicker -moved that <br />the County observe December 24,,. 25'and 26, 1975,, and January "1,, 1976, as <br />holidays and to authorize that County'offices might be closed on those dates. <br />Commissioner'Wicker'also moved that the,-Christmas baskets be reduced in <br />size this year and they should leave off grapes.and bananas. Commissioner <br />Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The names.of the.tax listers for.the townships as appointed and <br />recommended by the Tax Supervisor were submitted to the Board for their <br />information and approval. Upon`motion of CommissionerFranklin.D.. Wicker <br />seconded by Commissioner Hal L. Hancock, the list was.approved as submitted. <br />The list of values recommended by the'Tax Supervisor was discussed <br />and reviewed but no action was taken at this time... The request of Mrs. Pattie <br />W: McGilvary that her length of service in_the amount.of six years and two <br />months for -service with the Lee County Agricultural Adju-stment Administration <br />be added to her present service for retirement purpose's: Commissioner <br />Hal L. Hancock moved the adoption of thefollowing resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the-County Commissioners of <br />the County :of Lee wish to allow prior service credit to <br />PATTIE WILSON MCGILVARY, on account of service to the . <br />County of Lee from May 1, 1936 to July 1, 1942, six years and <br />two months. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY <br />THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF LEE <br />in regular session, <br />1. That the County of Lee hereby elects to, <br />allow prior service credit t0•PATTIE WILSON MCGILVARY <br />for service rendered to the County of Lee for the period from, <br />May 1, 1.936 to July 1,, 1942; six.years and two months: <br />2. That tlie':County of Lee hereby agrees to <br />be, in the manner provided.in N. C. G. S. 128-30(d), the cost <br />for the allowance of said additional service' credits. <br />Commis Isioner Franklin D. Wicker seconded the motion and upon <br />a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr, James L. Clark,. Tax Supervisor, appeared before' the <br />Board and discussed the various values assigned to live stock. Thereafter, <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that.the table of values as prepared by <br />the.Tax'Supervisor be approved for use by the tax listers in 1976. , Commissioner <br />Hal L. Hancock seconded the.moti+on and up,on'a vote it'±was•unanimously adopted. <br />
