® BOOK F10F~1 <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved the adoption of the <br />following resolution: <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS OF LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA: <br />Section 1. There is, hereby established on the books of Lee <br />County a fund to be known as the- "Capital Project, Development <br />of San-Lee'Recreational and Educational Park". The Fund <br />shall remain available and shall consist of such amounts as <br />may be deposited in it from funds made available to Lee <br />County from Federal and Local sources, together with <br />interest. <br />Section 2. All monies disbursed from the fund established <br />by this resolution shall be disbursed through a special . <br />checking account'eslablished for the fund in a local FDIC <br />insured depository. <br />Section 3. The Finance Officer of the Lee County is authorized <br />to invest and reinvest all or any portion of the monies in the fund <br />in deposits and securities eligible for investment of local funds <br />under the.General Statutes of North Carolina, until such time as <br />the monies are actually needed. <br />Section 4. This resolution is effective upon its adoption. <br />Commissioner William H.' Cooper seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved the adoption of the <br />following resolution: <br />WHEREAS, under the terms of Public <br />Law 89-136, as amended, the United States of America has <br />authorized the making of grants to public bodies and private <br />nonprofit organizations or associations to aid in financing the <br />construction of. specific projects: <br />NOW THEREFORE,,•BE IT RESOLVED BY <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF LEE COUNTY <br />1. That Gordon Wicker, Cliairman is hereby authorized to <br />execute and file an application on behalf b?Lee -County, North <br />Carolina, with the Economic Development Administration, <br />U. S. Department of Commer'c0, ,for w grant" to aid in financing <br />the construction of The San-Lee Recreational and Educational <br />Park. <br />2. That the above named authorized representative is hereby <br />authorized and directed-to furnish such information as the <br />Economic Development Administration, U. S. Department of <br />Commerce, may reasonably request in connection With the <br />application which is herein authorized to be filed. <br />Commissioner William H. Cooper seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the County make <br />application for designation as.a Redevelopment County by the Economic Develop- <br />ment Administration of the Department of Commerce. Commissioner Franklin <br />D. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />
