® BOOK F10F~1 Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved the adoption of the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA: Section 1. There is, hereby established on the books of Lee County a fund to be known as the- "Capital Project, Development of San-Lee'Recreational and Educational Park". The Fund shall remain available and shall consist of such amounts as may be deposited in it from funds made available to Lee County from Federal and Local sources, together with interest. Section 2. All monies disbursed from the fund established by this resolution shall be disbursed through a special . checking account'eslablished for the fund in a local FDIC insured depository. Section 3. The Finance Officer of the Lee County is authorized to invest and reinvest all or any portion of the monies in the fund in deposits and securities eligible for investment of local funds under the.General Statutes of North Carolina, until such time as the monies are actually needed. Section 4. This resolution is effective upon its adoption. Commissioner William H.' Cooper seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved the adoption of the following resolution: WHEREAS, under the terms of Public Law 89-136, as amended, the United States of America has authorized the making of grants to public bodies and private nonprofit organizations or associations to aid in financing the construction of. specific projects: NOW THEREFORE,,•BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF LEE COUNTY 1. That Gordon Wicker, Cliairman is hereby authorized to execute and file an application on behalf b?Lee -County, North Carolina, with the Economic Development Administration, U. S. Department of Commer'c0, ,for w grant" to aid in financing the construction of The San-Lee Recreational and Educational Park. 2. That the above named authorized representative is hereby authorized and directed-to furnish such information as the Economic Development Administration, U. S. Department of Commerce, may reasonably request in connection With the application which is herein authorized to be filed. Commissioner William H. Cooper seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the County make application for designation as.a Redevelopment County by the Economic Develop- ment Administration of the Department of Commerce. Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted.
