BOOK PACs Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the Capital Health System agency's, application for *funding and designated as the Health Planning Agency for this.area be endorsed. Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner, Hal L. Hancock recommended that the Board give considerationio the purchase of additional containers for use by the Sanitation Department,' Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker moved that the Board proceed to purchase three additional trash containers, similar to those presently in use. Commissioner'Hancock seconded the motion and upon a vote it was, unanimously adopted. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved the adoption of the following resolution authorizing the County of Lee to accept a conveyance,of certain real property from the City of Sanford, for use as a park: WHEREAS, the CITY OF SANFORD has offered to convey 89. 2 acres of land located in East Sanford Township, Lee County, to the County of Lee, for use as a park and upon terms and conditions as set forth in a resolution,adopted by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Sanford, on January 7th, 1976, which resolution has been, read to the Board of Commissioners; and' WHEREAS, the County of Lee is willing to accept, a conveyance of said land in accordance with the terms and conditions of said resolution; . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR-LEE COUNTY; AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the "Chairman is authorized and directed in the name of and for and in behalf of'the County of Lee, to make a written request to the City of Sanford for conveyance of said land in accordance with the terms of said resolution. 2. . That the' Chairman is authorized and directed for and in behalf of the County *of Lee to accept a deed of conveyance from the City of Sanford for said land'for the estate offered and, upon the terms and conditions as set out in said resolution adopted by the "Board of Aldermen of the City of Sanford. 3. That the Chairman is authorized to cause said deed to be recorded and take such steps as are necessary anF* proper to perfect title in the County. Commissioner William H. Cooper seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. The -representatives of Williams & Works and Mr. Elwin Buchanan, presented and reviewed the application of the County for an Economic Development Administration Grant for the establishment of the San-Lee Recreational & Educational Park, and upon motion of Commissioner Franklin D. Wicker, seconded by Commissioner Hal L. Hancock, the application was approved and the Chairman and Clerk were authorized and directed to execute the application for and on behalf of the County and to file same with the Economic Development Administration Department of Commerce.
